2025.10.0906:27:19UTC+00Lithuania Producer Prices Decline at a Slower Pace

In September 2025, producer prices in Lithuania experienced a 0.8% year-on-year decrease, improving from the 1.8% decline observed in August. This represents the mildest reduction in producer prices since February 2025. The easing of deflation in the manufacturing sector, with a slight dip of 0.1% compared to a 1.7% drop in August, primarily contributed to this change. Notably, refined petroleum products witnessed a significant moderation in deflation, with prices falling by 2.6% compared to an 11.1% decrease previously. In contrast, price growth in mining and quarrying slowed to 3.9% from August's 4.9%. The costs for electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning continued to decline, registering a 7.4% fall, which was an acceleration from the 3.9% decrease seen earlier. Prices for water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities, however, rose by 1.6%, reversing the stable price trend from August. On a month-over-month basis, producer prices saw a slight 0.1% decline in September, down from the 0.5% decrease experienced in the previous month.
