In August 2025, Denmark's seasonally adjusted trade surplus in goods and services reduced, reaching DKK 22.2 billion, down from an upwardly revised DKK 34.9 billion in July. This decline was largely due to a 5.3% month-over-month drop in exports to DKK 172.5 billion, with a significant reduction in goods exports by 6.8% and a decrease in services exports by 2.9%. On the other hand, imports experienced a 2.1% increase from the previous month, coming to DKK 150.3 billion. This rise was primarily driven by a 4.9% increase in goods imports, despite a 1.0% drop in services imports. Over the first eight months of the year, Denmark saw its trade surplus expand to DKK 205.8 billion, compared to DKK 195.4 billion during the same period in 2024.
