09.10.202506:42:46UTC+00Danish Current Account Surplus At 3-Month Low

In August 2025, Denmark's seasonally adjusted current account surplus decreased to DKK 25.7 billion, falling from an upwardly revised DKK 39.3 billion in July. This represented the lowest surplus since May. This downturn was primarily attributed to a reduction in the goods account surplus, which fell to DKK 20.3 billion from DKK 31.7 billion, largely due to a 6.8% drop in exports. Concurrently, the services account surplus contracted to DKK 1.9 billion, down from DKK 3.3 billion. On the income front, the primary income surplus saw a decrease to DKK 6.2 billion from DKK 7.5 billion, while the secondary income deficit improved slightly to DKK 2.6 billion from DKK 3.1 billion.
